Allow and Let by Brother Duke Hansen

This morning we are going to start in the book of Hebrews and then we will read a few verses from James chapter 1. We will begin with chapter 2 of Hebrews, beginning with verse 1.         Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, less at any time we should let them slip.          There's a lot of people out in the world who say you can't backslide too far away from God, You cannot backslide from something you never truly found. You cannot grow in God if you don't consistently seek the light of God.         2 For if the word is spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience receied a just recompense of reward;          Angels visited and spoke to different people in the old testament. If you seek darkness and deal with darkness, don't be shocked by darkness getting into your life. You...

What Is The Substance? by Brother Duke Hansen

The message this morning is going to be about faith. There are so many things that are mistakenly described as faith away from the word. The definition in the bible can be found in Hebrews chapter 11 and verse 1. We will be reading from that chapter this morning.         Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidencee of things not seen.          Faith is   the substance. Now, you can tell the truth one way and lie countless ways. So, what is the substance? Faith can be seen in a person's actions, what they do and how they live their life. Culture matters to the world but not to the truth of God.         2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.          You either will get a good report or a bad report. Some say, "My faith is what I believe in." The times when faith is prevalent is when the deck is stacked against them, ...

In the Spiritual Desert by Brother Duke Hansen

You walk through dry seasons in the spirit and often times you may not see it actually happen. You may be ignorant or blissfully unaware you are in an arid season of the spirit. More often than we are willing to admit, we fall into a deception that we aren't in a wilderness. We are experiencing something different and not at all based in the bible. This morning, we will be reading from a couple of different places in the bible. The first one will be in Matthew chapter 12 and will be starting at verse 43.         43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.          44 Then he saith, I will return into my house when I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.          Spirits, both unclean and clean, walk through deserts. You can like cert...

Dig Deep Into the Well by Brother Curtis Hansen

Good morning. The scripture we are going to be reading from is in the book of Genesis. We will be reading chapter 26 and beginning in verse 1. As a means of setting before we begin reading, the previous chapter, 25, told the story of Esau and Jacob's birth and ending with Esau giving away his birthright for a bowl of pottage.         And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Issac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.          2 And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of;          Issac was told not to go to Egypt like his father Abraham did. When there's a famine in your life, you often return to the rut system you established for yourself. If something you did worked before, you will try it again.         3 So...

Adam and Eve, Jonah and Noah by Brother Curtis Hansen

You will find what is in scripture that was written thousands of years ago can still be correlate to our lives in the present. Our first point is that the devil is a liar. The devil can quote scripture to you to twist your understanding of the scripture. He did that very thing to Jesus when Jesus was in the wilderness. Unlike a lot of us today though, Jesus had the knowledge to counter scripture with scripture. The title of the message this morning is Adam and Eve, Jonah and Noah. We will be reading from Matthew chapter 19 beginning with verse 4.         4 And he answered and said unto them,   Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female.          The Pharisees were seeking an answer to divorce at the beginning of chapter 19. They always sought a way to tempt and trip up Jesus. This isn't really about divorce though. Jesus was talking about his promise. H...
