Nehemiah's Blueprints by Brother Curtis Hansen

This morning we will be going to the book of Nehemiah chapter 1. We will start reading with verse 1. Before we begin reading, I wanted to give you some background about the time and place which Nehemiah had come from. Nehemiah was the cup bearer to the King of Persia. He had heard that the temple was going to be reconstructed in Jerusalem and Nehemiah was alarmed that there was no wall to protect the city. Nehemiah prayed to God to save the city and for God to use him. Through God, the king of Persia's heart was softened to allow Nehemiah to journey back to Jerusalem, as well as provide the supplies needed to build the wall. Nehemiah would be made governor of Jerusalem by the king. In the chapter we will be reading this morning, we will be reading Nehemiah's prayer to God regarding this task.           1  The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu,...

House Moving and Building by Brother Duke Hansen

There are a few places where we will be reading this morning. Our first scripture is going to be in Psalm 127. Before we read from that selection, I wanted to say a couple of things. First, we were born into spiritual warfare without our knowledge. Some homes people are born into are weighed with heavy burdens. Other homes have had generational curses that have chained and bound bloodlines. There is no neutral ground in spiritual warfare. Our flesh is far more concentrated with the lack it has in life rather than the blessings already present.          Looking at the story of Ruth and Naomi, we find the beginning of the story Naomi, along with her husband and sons, move to the country of Moab to escape a famine. There are people who do a similar move in life today. They flee what they think is going to be bad and easily escapable. They forget that in scripture as well as in life, famines are not eternal. You are born i...

Finding Answers by Brother Duke Hansen

If you will, turn to the book of Isaiah and go to chapter 53. This morning, the message is about finding answers. Man goes through great lengths and time to get to an answer to what he thinks are potentially unanswerable questions. The answers he seeks is in this Bible. Often the way we search for answers is only in support of our flesh. We don't want the correct answer to questions but what we want what satisfies us. When we think of iniquity, we tend to want to categorize it with sin in general. It's actually separate from sin. There are a couple of traits which run with iniquity. They are self righteousness and self justification. Whatever we take in for  knowledge is passed through those two things. God is an open definition to the world as it has many different ideas and descriptions except for the actual definition of God and that is Lord.           In business there are procedures taught in ...

Hearing God's Communication by Brother Curtis Hansen

Good morning. Today we are going to read from the book of John chapter 10. We will be reading from verse 3 to verse 5.         3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and  leadeth them out.          4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.          5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.         The message this morning is about communication and how to actually hear what is being said. In last week's message regarding Jonah, he had heard from God and he ran from his calling. The problem for man isn't being able to hear God, it's what man wants to hear from God.          God is a communicator. If you w...
