Occupy Until I Come by Brother Curtis Hansen

Good  morning. If you would, turn to the book of Luke and the 19th chapter. We will start reading with verse 11.         11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should  immediately appear.         Jesus often used parables in speaking to crowds or to his disciples. He would use them in context they could understand and knew in the world at the time to teach heavenly truths to them. There is a way that heaven works which God wants you to reflect to others here on earth. We are going to read this parable of the idle pound as it expands what I said regarding reflecting heavenly truths here on earth.          Everyone in life is designated for an assignment. Your assignment, your calling did not manifest in your life when you just walked into a ch...

How To Be a Wise Master Builder by Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning. We are going to the book of 1 Corinthians chapter 3 for this morning's scripture. The purpose of the letters which the apostle Paul wrote to the different churches were ones of not only correction but also of direction. We will start reading at verse 1.         And I,  brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.          2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.         Paul begins by saying to the church in Corinth I have to speak to you in terms of the world for you to understand. When you first begin your relationship with God, you have to have an understanding you can grasp so you use ideas and concepts the world has used. The longer and deeper your relationship grows in the word, the more you realize that the world i...

The Misdirection of Misconception by Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning. There are a lot of misconceptions we have today in the world. Let's address the definition of a misconception before we move forward. A misconception is a view or opinion that is incorrect because based on faulty thinking or understanding. One misconception is that the image of Santa Claus was invented by Coca Cola to sell sodas. In dealing with misconceptions in the book of Isaiah, you see the Hebrews enthralled as being blessed and highly favored. Isaiah was struggling with trying to impress the truth to them. By chapter 64, Isaiah was being raised up by God and he's praying to God for God to show a visible sign of his power to the people.         Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that  thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence,          2 As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to ma...

Are We Here Again? By Brother Curtis Hansen

Good morning. In reading the books of the Bible where Moses is the writer and  storyteller, you get a sense that at this point in his life, he was not much of a motivational speaker. There were no stirring speeches given to the Israelites as they were outside the promised land. The scripture we are reading from is in Deuteronomy. We will be on the 8th chapter. In the text, we will read the advice Moses is giving the next generation of Israelites as they were preparing to pass over the Jordan.           I want to start this message with this statement. Not everything you pursue in your life is tied to your promise from God. The confidence in God's promise and no commitment to his process of overcoming is not dependence but delusion. You cannot have bad thoughts and actions, while still seeking God's promise, or even worse believe you are entitled to it. Don't be content and stuck in your own wilderness. We wi...
