Parts Of the Whole Armor by Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning. There's always learning, teaching that goes with growing your knowledge in not only your walk but your time on earth. So, knowledge is important in your walk, and there are tools you can use. As you follow God, you will find out you are blind. You are going to need to be fed as well as led. You aren't sealed by merely just following the scriptures in the Bible. You need to practice  humility to know when you are in ignorance. This morning we are going to the book of Ephesians chapter 6. We are going to start reading at verse 10.         10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.         Whatever God gives you to be a steward of, you have to prove it. When you read the words "be strong" it isn't some instantaneous thing. No lightning bolt from heaven, causing your muscles to swell. Be strong is you needing to prepare for the ...

What Kingdom Are You Bringing? by Brother Curtis Hansen

Good morning. This morning's scripture reading will come from the book of James chapter 3. We are going to be reading starting at verse 13. James was the head, the pastor of the church of Jerusalem. James was the younger brother of Jesus. His church had experienced a lot of persecution in those days and its members had been scattered. We start at verse 13;         13 Who is a wise man and endured with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good  conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.          14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.          15 This wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.          16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.          17 But the wisdom that is from abov...

True Love Through Submission by Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning. I would like you to turn your bibles to the book of Ephesians. We will be reading from chapter 5 and start at verse 17.         17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.         There are many scriptures about the will of the Lord or the perfect will of the Lord. God is all about direction in life. He takes you and I, the believer, and sets us in a direction towards him. There are things listed in scripture which will lead you into damnation. This is where wisdom should be used! You should avoid such things and keep your mind locked on what God looks for and what he despises. He is of specificity and not vague statements. There's a reason why different prophets, apostles, speakers of the word will list the things God loves and hates throughout both old and  New Testament. It's because his people are hard headed, stiffed necked, and g...

Purging the Leaven by Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning. This morning we will be reading from the book of 1 Corinthians chapter 6. In this chapter, the apostle Paul is writing about the wickedness that was prevalent in the church there in Corinth. Early in life as children our minds build expectations for things that the reality never truly measures to. People as adults have  unnecessary high expectations for things that the reality will never match. You have these ideas and expectations about a job you want, a person you may date, a home you want, or even a vehicle to drive. Those expectations lift moments up where you lie to yourself in your head that if you just can get that job, that person to see them, that house, or even that truck that your life will be set. You will have no more needs. Expectations always fall short to the reality of things.          The same lofty and unreasonable goals also show up when you seek a relationship with Jesus. You wa...

Weights and Measures by Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning. We are going to begin in the book of Deuteronomy and we will be going to a  couple of other places in the scripture this morning. So, if you would, turn to chapter 25 of Deuteronomy and we will start reading at verse 13.         13 Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.          14 Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a great and a small.          15 But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land  which the Lord thy God giveth thee.          16 For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an  abomination unto the Lord thy God.         There is a significance to the concept of weights and measures in the scripture and it still applies toda...

The God Led 300 by Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning, The scriptures we are going to read from are from the book of Judges. We will read some in chapter 6 and 7. Most people who thing they are strong, and profess in public how strong and mighty they are, in reality are not. There are people who think they are not strong when they actually are. Those are the people who are not nudged and pushed by God but they are challenged by him. Those are the people who God can use.          Judges chapter 6 begins the story of Gideon. His story is a great and important story for believers today. Before we begin reading the scripture I want to say that whatever God delivers you from, if you return to that sin you were into before deliverance,  God will put you right back in the mess. We are going to start with verse 1.         And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord: and the Lord delivered them into the hand of...
