Is Your Life Worthy of His Name? By Brother Curtis Hansen

This morning, we will be reading from the book of  Ezekiel. We will be turning to the 36th chapter and start to read at the 22nd verse.          22  Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes: O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.          23 And I will sanctify my  great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.          24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all  countries, and will bring you into your own land.          25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your fi...

The Evil Heart of Unbelief by Brother Duke Hansen

What ties the New Testament to the Old Testament in the scripture was because that the Jewish people passed down historical events, monuments, and ceremonies from generation to generation. The processes of God do work, and our flesh knows and understands them. Our flesh hates those processes because they suppress the ego, the nature of the flesh. In the book of Matthew chapter 5 verse 45 Jesus said the following;         45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.         For many people, Jesus's words are a hard pill to swallow. No one wants to think that all things are equal when you are in a hardship, down and feeling low in life. If you are down, in a rut with your life, if you think there are nothing but stumbling blocks in your way, know it is...

Who Is Jesus to You? by Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning. Before we start reading from the scripture and get into the message laid upon my heart this morning, there are two things which you and I need to keep in mind. These are two questions which matter in your relationship with Jesus that you should know the answer to in your life. The first question is who is Jesus to you personally and the second question is Do you know who you are in life? Our first scripture reading is going to come from the book of Luke chapter 9. We will begin to read at verse 18. This is a passage very familiar within our church.         18 And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people I am?          19 They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.          20 He said unto them, But whom ...

Will You Take His Name? by Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning. In this new year, I wanted to speak with you at length some this morning about some truths that are in the scripture. These truths are very hard for us to understand in the flesh. There is a reason that not everyone is meant to see the hidden truths of God. Everyone is looking for an easy way to salvation, sometimes through their own imaginations. There are things in the scripture hidden to us who are not in the word. A good example is the story of the three wise men. You ask around to believers and they will tell you that the wise men approached the manger with gold,  frankincense and myrrh. The actual truth is the wise men did not find Jesus until he was 12 days older. It is natural for your flesh to be deceived. Your flesh likes that deception because it helps you escape reality. Deception buttresses the harsh facets of life, by distracting you with hobbies, entertainment, possessions.       ...

Walking In Wisdom by Brother Curtis Hansen

For the sermon this evening, we will be going to the book of Colossians. We will be reading from chapter 4 and will read verses 1-6. Starting in verse 1.         Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.         This is interesting to read because man's ego usually goes with having the slightest bit of power whether at work, or in the home, and  goes too far with it. Those who fall into that trap abuse and mistreat others to benefit them. When you are going through life there are some people who will come into it for a season. Some are there as a trial for you. A test for your faith so to speak. There are others who are there to elevate you from the plateau you are standing to the next level. The thing to remember is not all people you associate and  befriend are beneficial for you nor can they come along on your ...
