Honor Leads to Access by Brother Curtis Hansen

When I speak of honor this morning, I say that honor is the culture of the kingdom. The things of this world are set to divide people and those things are not respectful of family bonds, relationships,  intimate and close connections. As a believer, you should walk as a peacemaker among man and not as someone wanting to fight all the time. If the culture is full of disrespect, it is rooted in the spirit of Jezebel. That spirit doesn't respect God nor his commandments. There are things which are unlocked when you attain levels of maturity in your walk and relationship with God. The respect begins in the house of God with its body of believers. You may work at a job where there are people who don't deserve any respect in the flesh. You may even have family members who don't deserve one whit of respect. God demands respect though. He wants his people to show that respect and do it humbly.         ...

You Are Forgiven by Brother Duke Hansen

This morning we are going to the book of 2 Timothy. We will be in chapter 2 and verse 19. Most of what Paul had written that was collected in the New Testament were primarily focused on correction, reproof, and guidance to the new church. Paul's letters in the New Testament are 13 books, so he was a  significant contributor   to the New Testament. These two letters written to Timothy have a different tone because they were written in love. Paul was bearing witness to a 2nd generation believer who was coming up. Let us read shall we?         19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.         The translation here is you stop doing things your way and let God move. If you take on the name of Jesus you should depart from iniquity and si...

God's Law by Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning. If you would, turn to the book of Isaiah chapter 58. Though the verses we are reading this morning were originally for the people of Israel, these verses are for the church  today in 2023. This scripture is about the correct and Godly way of fasting. A fast is not what is marketed for money by some churches or faith based chain stores. It isn't abstaining from just one item for a day or a week. It isn't eating just fruits instead of chocolate for a sweet snack. Those are diets slapped with a Bible name on the cover to get you to buy it and feel better about yourself. We are shaped by the world to think and be a certain way. Where words lose their true meaning and adapting a new way of thinking, even the right way of thinking is so difficult. We are going to begin at verse 1.         Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob thei...

Able But Not Ready by Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning. If you would, turn to the book of Genesis. We will be reading some from chapter 40 and 41 this morning. The message is going to center around the story of Joseph. Joseph had a good  relationship with God and it was reflected in not only his life but in his conversation. If you yourself are bearing witness to someone or sharing your testimony, it should not change in regards to who you are talking to in the moment.           Let's set the scene for chapter 40 of Genesis. Joseph is in  prison with the palace butler and baker. In this chapter, they shared to Joseph the dreams which they had, and Joseph had interpreted them. We are going to start reading in verse 21. The situation with the Pharaoh's baker and butler are resolved at this point.         21 And he restored the chief butler unto his  butler ship again; and he...

A Generational Case Study by Brother Curtis Hansen

Good morning. If you would this morning, turn to the book of Genesis chapter 35. We are going to read starting in verse 1.           35  And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.           2  Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:           3  And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.           4  And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them und...
