Building Confidence by Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning. If you would, open your bibles and go to the book of Philippians. We are going to be at chapter 1 and will start reading from verse 3. Let's skip by the greetings of the first couple of verses.         3 I thank my god upon every remembrance of you,          4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,          5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;         The scriptures establish and illustrate that Paul was an apostle. He went out and he established churches. There's a difference between teaching and preaching. When Paul went out on his missionary journeys, he was preaching the good news. Within the five fold ministry, there is both teaching and preaching, yet there are other churches who have gotten them confused. They would rather have a pastor teach rath...

Godly Jealousy by Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning everyone. If you would, turn in your bibles to the book of 2 Corinthians chapter 11. We are going to be reading a few verses from there this morning. There is either  encouragement or discipline given to the early churches in the letters of Paul. There was constant in Paul's life through all the different moments and that was the search for the truth. Paul was pretty plainspoken in his letters as we will see in a moment.         Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.         Paul was displaying a little sarcasm in this opening verse.         2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.         The first 10 chapters of this letter are of correction to the church of Corinth, In chapter 11, Paul s...

What the True Battle Is By Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning. I wanted to start this message with a truth not many of you are going to like. The battle we are aware of is not between the church and the world. Many of us have a frame of mind for battle, spoiling for a fight, any fight, because it is what we have been conditioned and brought up in. The battle is not between Jesus and the devil. That's the stuff of fiction. Jesus already defeated the grave and the devil. Just because someone on youtube uploads a miniseries of videos talking about their interpretation of the end times doesn't make it so. The ax head is laid at the root of the tree. We, the church, are the tree and the ax head is God.          So, many of us keep looking for the battle and we ignore where the battle truly is. The battle is the pages of the Bible and the righteous. Peter put humanity into three categories in 1 Peter chapter 4 verses 18 and 19.         1...

Nothing But Leaves by Brother Curtis Hansen

Good morning. If you will, turn your bibles to the book of Mark chapter 11. We will start reading at verse 10 this morning. Last week's message was the parable of the idle pound. I want to repeat that the  purpose of Jesus teaching through parables, that are recorded in scripture, was revealing heavenly truths through examples the public understood. Let's begin reading then, shall we?         10 Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.          11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.          12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:          13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply...
