Different Grounds by Brother Curtis Hansen

This morning's scripture is going to come from the book of Matthew. We will be reading from  chapter 13 and starting in verse one. Our message is going to look at the parable of the seed and the sower.         The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.          2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole  multitude stood on the shore.          3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a shower went forth to sow;          4 And when he sowed. some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:          5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:          6 And when...

Who's Building Your House? by Brother Duke Hansen

For the scripture reading this morning, we are going to go to Psalm 127. This psalm is only 5 verses long, yet it cuts to the quick on the vanities of man without the blessings of God. It really isn't hard for us to  understand that mankind has a desire to always be in charge.         Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.         The first part of this verse is the theme for this message this morning. "Except the Lord build the house." Either you allow him to build the house or you are attempting it on your own. Man doesn't want  to follow any process which is outlined in the Bible. Man wants to do things his way on his time and not  follow common sense. Man wants to control every part not of just his life, but everything else his life touches.     ...

Be Thus Minded by Brother Duke Hansen

There will be a couple of places we will be reading from this morning to aid in telling the message. The first scripture will come from the book of Philippians chapter 3. This message is for those of you currently in the press or passing through the fire spiritually. You have allowed God to put you through some tests to strengthen your walk and your spirit man.           Paul writes at the beginning of chapter 3 that he knew all about confidence in the flesh. He lists parts of his biography starting in verse 4 to verse 7. Paul was zealous in his ways before his conversion. He would call out others if they hadn't followed what he followed to the letter. He placed value in what he believed and walked. He put all that aside after his conversion. You can believe in things but no one really cares in your  beliefs. It is viewed as opinion and not fact. Your guiding light should be what you believe aligns with what...

For Such a Time As This by Brother Duke Hansen

This morning we will be in a few different places in the Bible. I want to start out in the book of Genesis chapter 8. A lot of our days are spent in dealing with the carnal and natural side of life. When we are able to look into the spiritual side, it's usually a glimpse. In our flesh, there is pain, suffering, trials among other afflictions. Did you know there are trials you  experience similarly in the spirit?          In Genesis 8, it is the account of Noah after the flood. Why did Noah be seen by God? Noah was walking upright among the wickedness of the world then. Noah was a good and faithful servant, a beacon of light in his day. Noah was unaware that God was going to destroy the world. He never lost sight of who he was serving. In life sometimes God uses someone to wake us up and make us aware to what's around us. In the book of Esther, her uncle Mordecai was used to warn her of the potential fate to ...

Navigating Hardships, Pressures, and Agitations by Brother Curtis Hansen

This morning our scripture will come from the book of Matthew chapter 4. The message this morning is somewhat a continuation from last Sunday's message. Trouble will push you into the hands of the savior. All of us will feel with hardships, pressures, and agitations in our life from time to time. Agitations are the quickest route to change your mood and outlook.          If you don't learn to allow God to do things in your life, you will have very slow and small spiritual growth. You can't rebuke every agitation. You can't fix other people. You can work on yourself. We are going to read starting in verse 3 of Matthew 4.         3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.          4 But he answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of...
