Servants of the Vineyard by Brother Curtis Hansen

Our text we will read is the parable of the vineyard. We will looking at Matthew chapter 21 and verse 33 for the parable. However, before with that text, let's look up 10 verses to verse 23. Let's see what led to the telling of the parable.         23 And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority.          The authority that the chief priests and elders asked Jesus about was from God. Man will often use manipulation and fear for authority here. We are stewards of what God provides us in life. The roles and responsibilities with your individual stewardship will change with the time. There are areas in our lives where there is an unchecked iniquity. It is upon us to address, attack, take down, and remove that iniquity in our life. God is not, no...

Butter Your Steps by Brother Duke Hansen

In our walk spiritually there are valleys and mountains. Now, not all valleys are the same. There are some valleys can be very treacherous. The same can be said of mountains. All the decisions we make in life can be either made to grow closer to God or to move further away from God. There are parts of our walk which is affected by culture and emotion. These two things can affect your prayers to God where your prayers are amiss.          This morning, we are going to be in several places in the bible. We will begin in the book of Job and then we will be in Ecclesiastes. In the book of Job, Job is being judged by God, and he's still uncertain as to why this is happening. We are going to start reading from chapter 29 and at verse 1.         Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,         2 Oh that I were as in months past, as in the days when God preserved me;   ...

I Thought... By Brother Duke Hansen

This morning we are going to be reading from the book of 2 Kings chapter 5. When you get there, you may see that these scriptures are familiar to you, especially if you have been in this walk long. We are going to begin with verse 1.         Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honorable, because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valor, but he was a leper.          2 And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.          3 And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.           Naaman was from Syria and not from Israel. God didn't have a covenant with Syria but with...

Avoiding Burnout by Brother Curtis Hansen

This message we are going to talk about the father in law of Moses, Jethro. Jethro was God fearing, a priest and shepherd in Midian, and most of all he was curious. There are not a believers curious in their life today. We have things we get our faith behind, and if there is a deviation from what we think to be certain, we leave. Can you be curious? Instead of assuming the worst in life when it takes a turn, maybe seek out the answers to concerns in the scripture. It's better than curling up and quitting your walk because you think you have brought God's wrath upon you for a stumble or fall.           We are going to be reading from Exodus chapter 18 and begin with verse 1.         When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses' father in law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, and that the Lord had brought Israel out of Egypt.          2 The...

The Staff Of Moses by Brother Curtis Hansen

This morning's scripture will be out of the book of Exodus chapter 4. We will begin reading with verse 1. Our subject this morning is about the staff of Moses. In life, we rely on objects to see, feel, and touch as a way to reach the Lord. The thing to understand is God doesn't want the object to connect to you as some conduit. God wants you and you alone.         And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The Lord hath not appeared unto thee.          2 And the Lord said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.          3 And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.          4 And the Lord said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caug...
