One Mind, One Accord, and One Language by Brother Curtis Hansen

Good morning and Happy Day of Pentecost. This morning we are going to talk about the Day of Pentecost with scripture reading in Acts 2 along with Zephaniah and Genesis. The Holy Ghost has a direction not only for the individual but also the collective whole of the church. One of the  misunderstandings regarding the Holy Ghost is resting all your faith in the speaking of tongues. Speaking in tongues is a sign of the Holy Ghost working, but, you can talk in tongues all day and still be horrible to others. If you're the type who run to the front to get a buzz from holiness at the alter, then step back out into the world and live like hell for the other 6 days, you are not truly spirit filled. You may not even be truly saved. The Holy Spirit brings things to remembrance and it leads and guides you unto all understanding. We are going to go to the book of Acts chapter 2. We will start reading at verse 1.    ...

Attitude Is Direction by Brother Duke Hansen

This morning we are going to talk about being profitable. The bible has many examples and teachings about gain and profitability. Your greatest conflict in your walk is always yourself. The closer you live in the world, the further away you are from God, and the closer you are to God, the further away you are from the world. This morning's scripture reading will be out of the book of Matthew. Go to Matthew chapter 25 and we will begin reading at verse 14. This scripture reading is Jesus telling the parable of the talents. Going forward, if you have peace with God, you should notice a lack of conflict with the world.         14 For the  kingdom of heaven is as a man traveling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.          15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and...

Faith To Faith In the Darkened World by Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning. If you could, turn your bibles to the book of Romans chapter 1. We will start reading at verse 16. The fall of man has occurred and continues to occur because man places more faith in himself rather than in God. As you take in what is happening around you both locally, nationally, and globally, please realize that the agenda of the devil isn't about building and executing laws for evil. He isn't content for the world to wax worse and worse, he wants to be out in the open and confrontational using man's inherent evil and  narcissistic self. As a Christian, you need to recognize these surroundings, and not take up arms in fighting back against it for your family or your church. Your fight isn't using a weapon, it's using prayer every day to cover you and your house from the evil surrounding you. Paul is writing to the church in Rome in Romans. Rome draws defined parallels to our nation today. Too many of us though a...

The Pursuit of Meekness by Brother Curtis Hansen

Good morning. If you will, turn your Bible to the book of Matthew. We will be reading from chapter 5 from  Matthew. This scripture is pretty familiar and quite popular with believers. Jesus is beginning his Sermon on the Mount, and he begins with The Beatitudes.         And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:          2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,          3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.          4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.          5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall  inherit the earth.          6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.      ...
