Above All, Have Patience by Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning and Merry Christmas. This morning's message is not going to be the typical and oft spoken sermon regarding Mary, Joseph, and the birth of Jesus. This morning, something was pressing on my heart to share with others. It is something in short supply throughout the year, but it is seemingly impossible to apply in the holiday season. The message is going to be about patience. We are going to turn to the book of James this  morning, chapter 5. We will start reading at verse 7.          You have to seek out things in your walk with God in order to grow it. Progress is never made by merely standing still. Real life is not like a fairy tale where some cute and winsome figure, designed to sell junk, comes into your life and shows you some magical path to happiness. God does not work like your favorite fiction! He doesn't turn mice into horses, a pumpkin into a coach, sprinkles dust on you to fly. He can be...

Taking the Trash Out by Brother Duke Hansen

This morning's sermon is hopefully one to help you through the week. It deals with a subject that a lot of us tend to stay away from because the difficulty that is associated with it. This morning we are going to talk about thoughts. There are a few scriptures which we will read that accompany this subject. The first scripture is in the book of Isaiah. Isaiah chapter 55 beginning at verse 6.         6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:          7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.          8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.          9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways hi...

What is Your Frequency Set On? By Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning. In the book of 1 Corinthians chapter 2 and verse 7, it says the wisdom of God, the oracles of God are hidden from man to understand. Because this wisdom of God is hidden, man replies with imitation or outright confusion on what the scriptures say. The Word of God warns us to remain teachable through life. The words Awake! Awake! in Isaiah or 1 Corinthians or other places, those exclamations are for the church still today, because too many denominations have become blinded to all truths. If you look and study some of the Bible,  or even if you google this, you will quickly find out there are more scriptures that are warnings against deception than there are about salvation. Man's knock off wisdom stops at salvation, which then leads to deception.          The first question to be asked is how do you and I abide? The definition of the word abide is to accept or act in accordance with whether ...

It Shows Up In Your Worship by Brother Curtis Hansen

This morning our scripture reading will be in two separate books. We will first begin in the book of John chapter 12 and we will also be reading from the book of Isaiah chapter 61. We will start reading in John chapter 12, the first verse.         Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.          2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.          3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odor of the ointment.          4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,          5 Why was not this ointment sold for thr...
