The Process Of Faith by Brother Duke Hansen

This morning we are going to be reading from the book of Hebrews 11. It is a very familiar selection of scripture for many of us. The chapter is about the many heroes of faith in the bible. The spiritual world was created before the physical world and the physical is a mirror image of the spiritual. The iniquities that are in the physical, such as pride, envy, jealousy, and so on are also in the spiritual world. Your goal should be to walk so much in the spirit that you aren't affected by your physical self.           Let's start reading Hebrews 11 with verse 1.         Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.          Faith is not visible. It is tangible. It is your testimony to the world. Our failures or shortcomings are often hung on a lack of faith. It's because your flesh enjoys to sin. Many christians misinterpret biblical t...

Obstacles Against Holiness by Brother Duke Hansen

In the process of getting closer to God, there are many obstacles you will encounter to distract or detour you from deepening your relationship. The harder you pursue, the closer you walk with Jesus.          I want to open this message with a series of questions for you to answer. Do you feel resentment, discontent, or conflict towards others some days? Is there days where conflicted within yourself? You wake up just mad? Are you often harboring feelings of hurt, pain, and being unjustly treated? How many of you  know the difference between envy and jealousy?          Now, as you think on these questions, I want to talk about that there are verses, chapters, or books in the bible many christians actively avoid. The reason they avoid them is because the tone is hard to take. It continues to challenge you and your thought process. The book of James is one of those books many avoid. It is my hope...

With Eyes Wide Open by Brother Duke Hansen

Good morning. This walk with the Lord has many processes for the believer. There are many styles and deliveries of preaching given to people from all types of preachers and pastors. Some preaching is high energy, urgent, and can be manipulative. Other preaching is more calm, settled, and unemotional.           This morning we are going to read from the book of 2 Corinthians. Paul is writing a letter to the church in Corinth. We are going to focus on something he addresses which we still need to be wary and choose this day. Our first scripture is 2 Corinthians chapter 7 and verse 1.          Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.          The opening phrase, "Having therefore these promises", would give you reading the impression that chapter 6 is ...

Faith, Courage, and Discernment by Brother Curtis Hansen

This morning's scripture reading will be from the book of 1 Samuel. It is going to be very familiar to almost all christians, as it is the story of David and Goliath. We will be reading from chapter 17 of 1 Samuel, starting at verse 48. The scripture is going to be the tail end of the confrontation between David and Goliath. It also addresses what happens afterward.         48 And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.          49 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.          50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in...
