Be Present Minded by Brother Curtis Hansen

When we think how God operates, it's about the law, the establishing of the law by God as a guide for man. Over time, Man has managed to mangle and twist established law to suit his overall needs. The main point is about how we need to follow the law established in the scripture and not someone's interpretation of him. What we are going to touch upon this morning is dispensationalism.

God created the light before he created day and morning. He told Abram that he would be the father of a nation despite Abram being childless for decades. God will send the word before you see the evidence of it.

We are going to be reading first from the book of Genesis chapter 2 verse 25.

25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

God has made us in his image. We aren't supposed to give in to shame or carry it.  This wasn't in man's design. When people flee from the presence of God, it's routed in shame. The enemy will try to put shame upon you to lessen your witness and take you off the path.

How did shame occur in the old testament? They would use the law and point at your flaw. There's processes in your life. God has established for us to follow. Let's read chapter 3 verse 1.

Now the serpent was more subtle than any other beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

If you don't know what God said, you will believe the world or your abuser rather than God's word. The first question God asked Eve at the start in Genesis was "Did God really say that?" If you hear or even ask yourself a question similar to that in your day to day, you can hear advice from the world as well as yourself. Over time you will believe what satisfies that question. In verse 9, God called out to Adam and his first question was "Where art thou?" God can clean out the bad. The pattern we have is fear which leads to shame and that leads to hiding.

Dispensationalism is a direct interpretation of the word. It marks different points of time where we began with the establishment of the law and are currently on the period of grace. If you asked for something from God and didn't receive it it could be one of 3 things. 1) You asked God and he denied your request 2) You are not ready to receive it yet and 3) There's something greater for you potentially in the future.

The issue with looking towards the future is missing out on the here and now. God is wanting you to be present minded. You will have more peace in your life when you cut out the dead weight in it.

We know that there's coming a day but salvation is available now. When does later come to pass? Has everything happened the way you wanted? When it doubt, ask yourself the 3 questions we spoke on earlier.

It's your job to live upright, to shine a light to others in your life. Live a life so good that get others to ask question. Bid them to come. We get a word with no evidence with our 5 senses. We need to divorce ourself from our 5 senses. You get a word from a prophet in the old testament. You can now get a word from spending time in his word and in prayer. Jesus says that there's a day coming where you will understand. God says I know you don't understand everything but this is love.
